Founded in 2013, Spruce Alley is a micro-publisher of new and classic books, e-books, audio, and artwork. We offer independent voices the chance to be seen, heard, and read widely.
The press is based in West Chester and operates on a print-on-demand basis through the vendor lulu.com, with global distribution through INGRAM, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

QUERIES. NOTE: we are on hiatus and not reading new queries at this time. Any emailed queries will be returned unread. We will update the site when we are ready to look  at new work. Thanks
We typically consider queries for book length fiction (novels, short story collections, flash fiction) and poetry chapbooks. If interested, send your query by email. Do not send entire manuscript. Fiction writers should send query plus outline and sample chapter. Poets should send query plus a sample of three to five poems. Include a brief biography with your queries. If interested, we will ask to see the entire manuscript and make a final decision in 1 to 2 months. For fiction, we are most interested in literary fiction, avant-garde writing, slipstream, and magical realism.
